If i remember correctly, since the iPhone 5, Verizon iPhones have come factory unlocked so you can just pop in your GSM sim card and go (I've done this with a 5S.) My question is, has they're been any conformation this is still the case with the 6S and 6S Plus?

I reserved to purchase inshore, and because I'm using prepaid service with AT&T id like to know if i should go with the Verizon iPhone (if unlocked) or just pay outright for the AT&T one (locked) but is should be able to unlock later through their website since i payed in full?

Thanks

Make sure you tell them that you plan on buying "Device Only" they won't even ask for your account info and the iPhone should be unlocked. And yes if you purchase the AT&T iphone at the Apple store it should be unlocked (was the case for the 6 and 6 Plus, not sure of 6S or 6S Plus yet, but surely going to be the same).
