Is the Verizon new iPad GSM-unlocked internationally?

Can anyone confirm whether the Verizon new iPad can be used with a local GSM carrier's micro-SIM? I've seen that people have put AT&T SIM cards in there and it works, but I'm about to travel to Asia, and was hoping to be able to pick up a local prepaid micro-SIM and pop it into my Verizon new iPad... (for 3G service -- I know LTE won't work)

Yes. It is unlocked, and will work with HSPA+ networks worldwide.
