Is the white version going to be glossy?

Hello.

I've seen numerous pictures of the black and a few pictures of the white version, but I can't tell if the White will be as glossy as the black? I don't see why white wouldn't be glossy and the black wouldn't, I'm just making sure. Also, I saw a good amount of pictures of the white version's backside with a black Apple logo instead of the one on screen at WWDC with kind of a dirty white logo. Any information?

The white is also glossy, and the reason the Apple logo looks different in different pictures is because it is reflective, so you are just seeing whatever it is facing.

On Apple's website , the logo is silver.

I'm looking at my white apple mouse. I'm envisioning the white phone to look like that. Till I'm told differently.

the logo is highly reflective chrome (like the entire back of ipods), so it will look bright on the glossy black iphone, and dark on the glossy white iphone, making it stand out on each. also, the intensity of the logo's brightness/darkness varies depending on what it is reflecting.

its also black on the apple site, you have to use the 360 view to see it though because there is a glare that makes the logo look white or grey.


i really wish they would have had the logo light up like on the laptops though.

Did you look at the 360 degree view of the Iphone on apple.com ?

It's because of the reflection that we see it as chrome/silver , but it is black.

It is black. That just made the purchase for me. I was 90% sure I was getting the white, but now with the black logo it's a definite. I'm way, way excited.

The "photos" in the gallery on the iPhone website are computer generated/illustrated, so you can't make a final judgement about the color from that.

I also think it is reflective chrome, however.

i feel silly even discussing this but why doesnt it make sense? the black iphone has a white logo, the white iphone has a black logo? makes sense to me.

those are pics of the ACTUAL white iphone 3g, its shows a BLACK logo.

Because the black iPhone DOESN'T have a white logo, it has a chrome logo.

Looks like both phones have a chrome logo to me.
