calls that use 3g network instead of edge. call quality is better with 3g but with att you dont have good service anyways so much rather use edge for calls i dont care about the call quality

stafford, i use the same logic as you. but i only turn on 3g when i need it. unless you are using data all the time, just keep it on edge. when you want to use data and youre not near wifi, just turn it on with sbsettings. gl.

Check out Auto3G. It isn't 100% intended for what you're trying to do but I believe if you set it correctly you will get what you want out of it.

May want to try before you buy on this one though, it's $5.99 and I'm not 100% positive you can do what you're trying to cause I no longer have the app to try it out.
