I just got my Macbook Air and I'm interested in keeping an eye on how long I am getting on a full battery when working on the laptop... like you can on Android phones.

I know the battery status tells you how long you have left (which changes depending on how hard you're working the laptop) but I want to see how long I HAVE been on battery power for. This way when I get to low battery warnings I'll be able to see how long the duration has been.

I've tried Coconut Battery and a couple from the app store, but can't see this feature.

iStat Menus does, but i'm looking for something much more basic, and ideally free.

I wish the system battery readout in the system bar could tell you - I don't want more utilities and status bar clutter and feature duplication/overlap.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Activity Monitor tells you how long you've been on battery power, or AC power for that matter. Look at the Energy tab.

SUPERB! Thanks a lot, so glad I asked.

All I need and no extra clutter on my fresh MBA - ideal, thanks! :)
