Is there a contacts widget that accepts gsm codes like *31# ?

I've tried out various contacts widgets like Launcher, Vidget and Favorites and none of them accept GSM codes which allow me to show caller ID. *31# preceding the number does that, and it works fine on my iPhone regularly dialing the number from contacts. When I use a contacts manager it doesn't use the symbols and I get the operator error recording.

Anyone know?
