On the upper case, there is a black covering on the speaker grills. Is that a covering under the speaker grills to prevent liquid/small objects from getting in? I spilled some thick liquid (evaporated milk) on it and scared that some got it but would be more at ease if there was that black covering. I have applecare so can i get them to check it out?

Thanks

I wiped off the evaporated milk right away but afraid some of it got in

It seems to work fine but was wondering if there a cover under to prevent liquids from contacting speaker?

And once it dries up can i bring it to Apple to check it out?

You can always have them check it out. However, they may charge you, since accidents aren't covered by warranty or AppleCare.

It works fine so i am not sure whether or not to
I will wait a while before i decide whether or not to go in and check it out
Are speakers separate or part of the logic board?

Yes, there is a cover under the speaker grills to prevent dust and other things from entering freely.

However, it is perforated to let sound travel through.

If it is fine right now I doubt you will get any problems.

You could always dismantle it and clean it up.

if it works fine then you shouldnt worry about it. if you are worried and want it checked out they will say its water damage and warranty doesnt cover anything you break on your own.

Ok in that case I may leave it alone

However, can anyone help me test something out? When i go to settings and adjust the audio between left and right speakers, it seems the left is more clear and slightly louder and the right is fuzzier sounding. Is it just my speakers or is this the same for everyone? Thanks!
