Hi,

apparently Mac OS has removed sub pixel anti-aliasing, hence you need HiDPI resolutions to have nice text rendering.

So I was wondering: How does that affect HiDPI displays when you don’t scale them? Or put in other words: does Mac OS „use“ HiDPI mode (and display text nicely) when running a 4k monitor natively (=not scaled)? Or does it need the UI to be scaled for that?
