I really do not want all the messages staying on my mac for ever and ever. Is there a way to delete them all at the same time. Doing it one at a time is very tedious. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know of a way. It sure is tedious -- you'd think someone at Apple would have noticed this?

If you mean Messages, just delete the conversation on the left hand pane. Either using the "x" or two-finger clicking to "Delete Conversation". If that isn't it, please more specific.

Which messages?

In the message app on the Mac

Yes there's a folder you can go in and delete all your messages off the messages app all at once in macOS. Just google,it you'll get the info.
