I use IPTV with my Apple TV and have recorded many shows. Some how all my settings wiped and I had to reconfigure my connection. All my recordings are “gone”. However, the available space on my Apple TV is still reflective of when the recordings were visible which tells me they are still there.
Is there a way I can browse the Apple TV files to see if they are?

As far as I know, no appleTV after the original (the one like mac mini) has a built in storage big enough to store a library of media. They are pure streaming boxes and rely on external server to provide the “stream”.

It’s storing stuff somewhere. After my last recording I remember saying to myself I’m down to 5gb. Each recording it would go down, obviously. The IPTV account no longer shows the recording, but I’m still at 5gb. Seems like it deleted the UI to them, but they are still there. Likely will need to wipe Apple TV to get my storage back if I cannot access it.

You could try with iMazing, it can show you the storage of tvOS and iOS and ipadOS:

Good point. The big question is whether the app will provide access to said data. I tried something similar a few years go and even though I could see the data, I couldn't retrieve it.
Yep. Looked around on mine.
Only Filesharing apps have their storage accessible. For all others, no go.
At least not with the common tools.
