Is there a free update for Garmin Nuvi?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 macbook pro w/ osX snow leopard and a garmin nuvi 205. does anyone know if there is a true FREE update out there for my garmin?

the Garmin web site would be a better place to ask this question. The Garmi site shows the model as discontinued. Go there and see if there are any updates available.

If you register your Garmin at the Garmin site and download their updater software, it will tell you if there are any free upgrades and lead you through installing them.

Some Nuvi's come with lifetime map updates, some don't and you pay for them. Device firmware updates are always free.

I think you can also find in their support page the most recent firmware version for your model, and compare what is currently installed.
