I know this is a longshot, but is there a guide for pricing the exact Mac you want to sell? As an analogy for what I mean, if I want to sell a car, there are sites devoted to showing me how to add and delete for various additional features (e.g. add $500 for sunroof, subtract $500 for manual transmition). Is there a guide (web site or otherwise) for estimating the worth, for example, of an additional three gigs of memory or, likewise, the "loss" associated with a non-Intel processor?

Thank you.

(Yes, I know that I can go to eBay and look how other people have priced similar Macs, but that is not my question.)

Not that I know of. If there was, I suppose people would be sent there instead of ebay.

I think your best bet is a combo of Apple's refurb store and ebay. MR's marketplace can also be helpful. Basically, try to establish a ballpark, and then negotiate with your potential buyer/seller.
