I'm importing a lot of music on my Mac at the moment and throwing out old stuff/auctioning it off. Thanks to anyone who can provide a clear explanation of how this works. I'm assuming my old music (that's available for download as is) should be attached to my Apple ID, right?

My experience

iTunes Match says it can match and store up to 25,000 songs, but I'm not sure if that includes iTunes-purchased stuff.

That being said, everything I've ever purchased through iTunes is still downloadable for me. Few thousand songs and movies.
