I'm thinking about replacing my laptop memory (Dell Inspiron 9100).Right now I have two 256MB modules, and I can replace that with two 1GB modules, for about $210. So what do I do with the old ones? Crucial.com suggests replaing them in pairs, and $200 is not bad for an upgrade of that size. Can you sell old memory? Crucial lists the ones I have in my computer now as going for $29.99 each. I don't feel like creating an ebay account just to go make $40. Is there an easier way?

Hmm... maybe a trade?

There is absolutely a market for used RAM. Feel free to start a thread in the Marketplace forum here fully describing the RAM and giving an asking price, or asking for offers or trades. Have a look around the forum to see what other people with similar items have done.

Good luck but I doubt there is much of a market for memory this size ... usually people take these types of pieces out in order to upgrade their ram.
