My MBP keyboard was replaced a day or two before the new models were released. I was assured it was with a new design that would prevent a 5th trip to the Apple Store for replacement. Now, the latest news is that the updated keyboard is not being used in previous generations.

I wonder if they still did *something* to help the problem, and would love to have a look underneath one of my replaced keys. Is there a way to do this? Or has someone else torn down a replacement keyboard?

Thanks

My daughter's 2016 13 inch keyboard was replaced 2 weeks ago. It is back at Apple because her keyboard was actually worse than what she had before: sticky keys, hard to press, etc.

They're liars. They pull **** out of their asses to tell you what you want to hear. I've dealt with this many times with Apple reps. You will not have anything different in your repaired keyboard. It will be the same one.

Keyboards are very involved to repair because they have too many fragile parts and layers of film.
Rembrandt you kids at home, Apple is not a member of the BBB, so purchase accordingly
