is there a setting or app on my iPhone that can show friends/family(also on iPhones) the city that I'm currently in?(but not my actual location)

for example, I'm in Boston. I want them to see that I'm in Boston, but not my actualy street level location. If I go to NYC next, I want them to see that I'm in NYC.(again, just the city, but not the actual street level location) Obviously, I want this to be done automatically without any intervention from me.
