I know that tapping on the top of the screen takes you to the top of a web page from wherever you are. Just wondering if a short cut exists that takes you quickly to the bottom of a web page?

Not an issue - I'll just scroll down.

The issue is the OP is looking for a way to quick jump top to bottom, like you can from bottom to top. It would be very useful. Who wants to scroll scroll scroll on long pages if you know you are looking for something on the bottom.
I've had it before where I scrolled all the way to the bottom and then accidently tapped the quick jump to the top, and then had to scroll all the way down again. It's annoying sometimes.

The only solution I know of for Safari is via jailbreak. Some third-party browsers such as Puffin have this feature,

Yeah, agreed. I use the Notes app and have a pretty long note which I add to every day. Come the second half of the year and the scrolling down to the bottom is rather tedious. My fault for not using a better app I guess.

Yep. Jailbreaking

There is an Activator action for Scroll to Top and Scroll to Bottom. It works in ALL apps, including Apple apps (like Settings.app) as well.

There's also an Activator action that will let you scroll to the middle of a page. Again, works in everything.

There's also Webscrollian which can accelerate your scroll based on the speed it senses you are trying to scroll at.

But. You have to be jailbroken.
