Is there a speed difference between Series 1 and Series 2?

Is there a speed difference between Series 1 and Series 2 during normal operations such as opening apps, waiting for apps to refresh etc? Are both processors the same, except the addition of the GPS module in the Series 2?

If you are using an app that depends on GPS, you should notice a difference. Otherwise, no.
