Like so. I have to select all and cut the message text out if the other person sends me another message while I'm typing. It annoys. If I can see a bubble I can swipe down, but not once I hit 9 lines. It looks like an old version of BiteSMS limited input to 7 lines to prevent this, but the current version I have doesn't. Anyone know of something?

Edit: The title is a bit inaccurate... it's really the text box covering it, I suppose.

Wow, thanks for posting this. This just happened to me two minutes ago and it's extremely annoying! Hopefully someone can chime in with a suggestion...

I found that if you need to quickly view a previous message, hit the edit button in the top right corner and it will show the messages, and then hitting it back will go back to the text box. But yeah I agree a scroll bar in the text box would be nice!

Good find! Thanks for the tip.

Thanks tylertech. I'll do that while continuing to hope for a tweak!

Ryan Petrich has a free Cydia hack called Pull to Dismiss
Allows dismissal of keyboard with just a downward swipe on screen

Perhaps it will work for your situation.

It doesn't seem to work for me in either Messages or BiteSMS. Thanks for the tip, though - definitely worth the try.

PtD

I have it working in Messages and BiteSMS. I couldn't get it to work at first, but I found out the trick is to swipe inside the message window, drag down, and then the keyboard will disappear.
