land of confusion
For me it is the poster who needs proof for every little statement.

In my experience, over time this kind of poster grinds any discussion to a halt because they get locked on the "where's my proof?" even if it is over something nonsensical like "monkeys flew out of my butt." Sarcasm and joking seem to both fly completely over their heads.

They also generally like to take 20 mins to an hour away from a thread and then come back and ask for said proof again, even if the discussion has moved on from the subject in the timeframe.

For me it's posters that are unnecessarily rude or sarcastic, or posters with really bad grammar/spelling to the point where it's difficult to understand what they're trying to say.

On a brighter side, I do appreciate the occasional funny meme/joke, and the history of the cliches we've grown accustomed to (such as "You're holding it wrong", "Steve Jobs would be rolling in his grave", "But will it bend?", etc.).

Still waiting for evidence.

Discussing personal opinions with mutual respect is good, but I can see how things can be annoying if people react negatively.

I'm mostly talking about posts like that one guy arguing about how Apple Music should be $9.99 a year, or that one kid who posts topic after topic about the cost of Apple products, why the company is in the wrong for such prices, and how his parents can't afford to buy them for him. Or those people who post questions to feed their ego on why their whatever is better.

It doesn't get under my skin, but it just makes me sad.

I see where you're coming from.

I hate the people whose sole mission in life is to dredge through forums looking for broad statements just to point out exceptions to them. They think they receive 1 Internet Point every time they expertly dismante someone's statement with some vague edge case that is irrelevant and was obviously not the focus of the discussion.

"Everyone knows that Flash is insecure..."

"Wrong. There are probably people living on Tibetan mountaintops who don't."

People who say "well at least it's not as bad as xxxx" people who dismiss technology because it doesn't come from their favorite company, people who use the terms such as Windoze, Winblows, and M$ you look silly not cool.

His threads allowed me to more than double my Wasteland post count, so I'm not complaining. Nice avatar, by the way. :D

Seriously you'd think that he'd realize that when he has seven or so threads closed in Wasteland, he's being an annoyance to the forums. I think that the mods haven't banned him yet because his threads are so stupid that it's funny to read through them.

[MOD NOTE]
Talking about members is a no-no, there's no reason to keep this thread open as it will just cause more problems. If you have an issue with a member and their posts are violating the rules then please report it.
