I've been browsing the forum and everyone seemed to report either issues during computer sleep, compatibility issues with some external hard drives and RAIDs... But is there a solution that just works and well at that? Surely there must be something? I'd like to add USB 3 to my Mac Pro 2009 but eSATA would be nice too. I was considering this:

Is it any good? Perhaps there is a better solution out there?
Thanks guys!

I have 4 of those cards in 2 MacPros. One is a 2008 3,1 and the other is a 2012 5,1. Works great.

It has all been summarized. Read the first post here.

If there was something that just worked perfectly with no possible caveat for everyone, I would have put it at the top of the list. As it is, you have to read the pros and cons, then decide what is important to you.

Even official Apple installed solutions like the Mac Mini's USB 3.0 ports have problems.
