iPhone 13 mini Is there a used 13 Mini tax?

been shopping on ebay, and see them priced in the $250-$500 range. is this reasonable, or is there an added "tax" because they are special.

There is no tax. People on eBay are simply selling for as much as they can get people to buy.

There is a maniac on Swappa who is asking $700 for a (allegedly) mint condition 13 Mini.

For me buying a preowned 13 mini, I got mine from Amazon renewed. You can get excellent condition or spend a little more and get the renewed Premium for one with battery health of 90% or greater. Then just be patient for the right one to come by . . .

The one I got looks pristine however the battery health on mine is at 81%. I purchased mine as “renewed” only which guarantees battery health of 80% or greater. I have got the equipment and new battery to do the install on my iPhone when the time comes.

Personally, I would rather get a phone with a weak battery that's never been cracked open over one with a 100% battery of unknown provenance.
