Is there a way I can "snap" windows

On Windows, you're able to drag and snap your window to the top of your screen for full screen mode. And to the left and right sides of the screen for half screen split.

Is there a way I can enable a similar feature on Mac?

I use BetterSnapTool. it works brilliantly. Its a paid app, but its only $2 i think. well worth the money.

I use Spectacle - shareware, open source, regularly updated. I've tried a few others from the MAS, keep coming back to Spectacle. www.spectacleapp.com

That irritates the heck out of me at work. To each his own...

Tap and hold the green minimize/maximize button and drag while holding. That will snap your window.
