To get a listing (a smart playlist if possible) of files by bitarate or format?

Most of my 180 GB library is my ripped personal CD collection and encoded to MP3 at 192k. I'm wanting to convert ALL of those files to 128 AAC. I'd like a list of everything that's MP3 so I don't have to go throw all 2,000 albums manually to find out.

Anybody know a way to do a batch conversion this large? I'm not too familiar with script, but now's as good a time as any to learn.

Hey, it's pretty easy

1. Option + Apple + N (New Smart Playlist)
2. Change the box that says 'Artist' to 'Kind'
3. Change 'Contains' to 'Is'
4. Type 'MPEG audio file' ... that'll give you all MP3's
5. Click the + sign
6. Change 'Artist' to 'Bit Rate'
7. Mess with 'Is' to get what you want.. if you want just 192 kbps then type that, if you to convert everything above 128 kbps then change 'Is' to 'Is greater than'.. etc etc

Should work
