Here's my "problem". I recently got the new Mini. Before, I used my 2006 MacBook, connected to my HP W2207 display (running at max resolution 1680x1050).

The text looked perfectly fine then (just like it "should" look, just like it looks on a MacBook/iMac screen).

However, with my new Mini, the font smoothing looks different. I'd say the text simply doesn't look as smooth, just like there's "too little" font smoothing.

Switching between VGA and DVI doesn't make any difference. I've also tried setting font smoothing to "strong", but this doesn't change anything either.

Is there anything else I could try? It's a bit annoying actually... Those of you who've tried a Linux distribution with poor font smoothing probably know what I mean.

EDIT: I'm on Snow Leopard now, and I had the same problem as I had before on Leopard.

Running this command in the terminal made it a lot better:

defaults -currentHost write -globalDomain AppleFontSmoothing -int 3

You need to log out/in for the change to take effect.
