Pretty self-explanatory - it's well-documented that you can go into field test mode on an iPhone to change the stupid/arbitrary signal strength dots to dBm, a signal strength measurement that's actually useful.

I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to access this on an iPad? It's easy enough to get to on an iPhone by dialling *3001#12345#*, but the iPad has no dialer.

I'm sure it's a longshot but I thought I'd ask anyway. I really hate the signal strength dots!

Apparently from googling and YouTube...

1) Turn on multitasking gestures Via settings app
2) Open up safari
3) Use the magic 5 fingers and scroll to the left

Doesn't work.

It would be helpful if you posted links to where you found this information. I did plenty of googling myself and came up with nothing...

I'm no where near my ipad to try so wouldn't personally be able to test them.
