Is there a way to backup and view text/audio messages from iPhone to Mac?

Is there any way to backup iPhone texts and image history (and voice recordings) to your Mac or PC so you can view them later without the phone? If there exists such a thing, I would use it so that I don't have to restore a new iPhone from backup.

I see a lot of sketchy software online for the PC, and they either don't work or they are adware or have malware. Looking to the community for solutions that actually work or have tried.

If anyone else has any others they've used, please share. I'll wait until probably the X comes out before jumping on a license once I set my mind to what I am going to get. I had a feeling there had to be something better than feature-limited iTunes.

Do you or anyone else know if for iMessages backup this will also backup saved voice recorded messages sent and kept or is it just the text messages themselves?

I did check the support FAQ before posting on the imazing website and it doesn't say... there is documentation about Voice Memo backup, which is different. That's using the Voice Memo app on the iPhone, not iMessages you send as voice recordings. It says it backs up iMessages, but is not clear if audio iMessages are backed up.
