is there a way to blur a licence plate on a car in imovie?

im making a video of my moms friends awesome classic 60s chrysler car, but he doesnt want his licence plate on youtube.

im editing the movie onn imovie and was wondering if theres an easyway to blur or block his licence plate?

also, is it bad for someone to see your licence plate? lol sorry dont know to much about cars

I don't know about blurring the license plate, but, from a license plate you can find the owners name, address and much more. Albeit, it is public information, some people would rather not have that posted around the net.
