Is there a way to burn dvds in Ep mode?

I'm getting a little annoyed. I have some .avi files that are a little less than two hours. When I try and burn them in Toast, it's telling me that there isn't enough space.. when I thought I could fit 2 hours on there?

Is there such thing as ep mode? On a pack of dvds I just bought, it mentions this, and I never really wondered if it was possible until today..

Dunno about Toast, but iDVD will do it no problem.

Video or Data?

Are you trying to Toast them as data or video? If you're burning them as data, you're limited to a total of 4,444MB -- and they'll burn immediately. If you're burning them as video -- you have to go through the DVD compression phase first. Toast will analyze the file size to determine which mode to store them in. Typically under 60mins will be in SP, and over 60mins will default to EP. I've burned a 1hr30min iMovie as a DVD using Toast with no problems. Remember that titles and menus take up disc space too -- up to 20% in extreme cases.
