iOS Is there a way to check if an app has been run before?

Hi,

I'm fairly new to iPhone development and I was wondering if there was a way to determine if an application has been run before.

I'd like to set something up whereby on the first run of an application on a user's iPhone, it displays a help item, but once they've used it once, that item doesn’t show up anymore.

Does anybody know of a way to do this? Help is greatly appreciated!
