Hi everyone. I was wondering if there was a way to check my SSD usage in more depth. For example, I know I can go 'About this Mac > Storage', but I was wondering if I could check which apps are using the most space, and what is using up "other"?

You can use apps like OmniDiskSweeper or Grand Perspective like Cergman mentioned, and those will show you a graphic of what is using space. But there are no apps that I have ever seen that correlate that to the storage categories in the storage graphic your are looking at. Other in that screen is everything that does not fall into one of the other categories listed... like the OS itself for example.
