i am turning my old phone into basically a touch for my 7 yr old to play games on and i do not want you-tube on the phone.

so is there a way to take it off completely. i know how to hide the icon but i just want it off.

Or you could get on of the various Cydia apps that will password-protect an app.

I think the most obvious answer is to just delete the youtube.app folder in the Applications director. Then it will be gone for good.

even if you remove the youtube.app the kid could still go on to the mobile version by using safari!

the best way would be to set restrictions (in settings) and block the youtube.app and the safari.app for access (or also delete both the apps by SSH)
