is there A way to disable Cover Flow

I have my phone mounted in my car and I use it for navigation and playing music. I would prefer to use it in landscape mode. However, if I am listening to music, it shows Cover Flow whenever the phone is turned horizontal when I would much rather have song information displayed to me. Is there anyway to disable Cover Flow because I find it pretty annoying to be honest

Not without a jailbreak or setting the autorotation lock to be portrait.
