What I mean is, if I have multiple e-mail accounts, is there a way to set up the iPhone to let me know which account got the new e-mail? I hate that the littke circle with the number on top of the mail icon is merged Like, could they have one in the upper left in blue for one account and one in the upper right in red for the other?

Better yet, is there a way to have two separate e-mail icons on the home screen where each would go to a different e-mail account and get notifications to show separately that way? I know I can add bookmarked icons for say gmail web mail, but then I would be forfeiting the notification.

No, but going from one inbox, back two key presses to swich mailboxes, then two more presses to get to the other inbox (for a total of 4 key presses) is a pain in the butt. Seems to me it would be easier to have two separate mail icons (one for each account) so with ONE key press you go right to the correct inbox.
