When I take a screenshot, I want to be able to paste it (command + v). But I have to go to the desktop, copy it, and then paste it after that. For note taking, this is really inefficient.

Is there a way to take a screenshot (specifically the command + shift + 4 method which allows me to select only part of the screen), and have it be in my paste options without extra steps?

Thanks!

EDIT: I figured it out after a little more Googling. I thought the explanation of my question was too lengthy to find on Google. Command + Shift + Control + 4.
