Is there a way to increase the screen brightness?

Now what I mean by 'Brightness' is not how bright can the LED's get, what I mean is how do I increase how white the screen is, can I make the screen brighter by increasing how white the screen is?

You can calibrate the screen.
Open System Preferences, then Displays.
Click the Color tab. Hold your Options key, then click the Calibrate button. (Option turns on expert mode)
Adjust to your choice of "whiteness"
You can try doing this with several different choices of settings, saving each profile with a different name. Cycle through your color sets to see which you prefer.
