Is there a way to migrate Mtn Lion boot drive to a parallels 8 VM?

Have a bootable drive (created by CCC) that I would like to create a Mtn Lion VM from as I only use it every now and then and would like to freeup the drive - is there anyway to do this? Could also create a disk image via CCC if that would help.
