Is there a way to publish the Family shared calendar in OSX Yosemite?

For a regularly created calendar under iCal/iOS calendar, OSX gives me the option to publish the events in that calendar. However, for the new "Family" shared calendar that is used between family members under Yosemite/iOS 8, Apple seem to have removed the option to publish the calendar. Is there a way to publish the shared Family calendar in Yosemite/iOS8?
