I just noticed today that if my phone is unlocked, the Amazon app opens right up without needing face recognition or a password, even though I have 'use biometric' toggled on in the Amazon settings on the phone.

Does the Amazon app just assume that if you have the phone open, that is safe enough?

Basically, I'm trying to set the Amazon app to work like a banking app, where the app uses face recognition before opening the app, even if the phone itself is unlocked. Surprised this isn't default, or maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks if anyone can assist and cheers.

Mine behaves as you describe… which is fine for me, but I can understand wanting additional security. I played with settings & couldn’t figure out a way - you might check with Amazon help here
