Just wondering if there is an easy way to see what is playing on the HomePod using MacOS?

I know I can open the Apple Music app and then tapping on the airplay icon will show what is playing on any HomePod, but I was wondering if there is something that will just stay on the status bar on the top of the screen showing what's playing and also have a skip back/forward and pause button.

I know you mentioned just seeing what is playing on HomePod using the AirPlay button, but you can then click on the HomePod in the AirPlay list to switch the Music app to viewing and controlling the HomePod. Then you can switch to the mini-player view and shrink it down to get something like this (OFFICE is the location of my HomePod in Home):

Hovering over the title brings up the skip/play/pause buttons as normal. It's not quite shrunk all the way down to the menu bar, but maybe it's good enough for what you are asking.
