Is there a way to show original Desk Dock Icons when first time iMac turned on?

Newbee received his iMac today and some how I wiped out a Icon on the Desk Dock. Don't even remember what it was. Was wondering if there is a way to show the original Icons that was on the Desktop Dock when one turned on iMac for the very first time?

Locate the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist and move it to the trash, then open Terminal.app and type :

killall Dock

How do you guys know so much about Terminal commands? Is there a handbook/manual for Terminal?
