Is there a way to turn off mbp screen?

I'm using the unibody mbp and wondering if there's a way to manually turn off the screen, except using the hot corner and dimming the brightness to the least.

Also, I would like to be able to turn the screen off with an assign shortcut (maybe fn+eject??).

I'm just tired of using the hot corner function.

I think there is a key combo that works on the iMac, but I am unsure of its usability or purpose on a laptop.

turning the brightness to the least doesn't really turn off the screen.

If you look carefully, u'll see that the screen is still on.
