Is there a way to turn off video stabilization on the iPhone 4S?

Sometimes I don't need it, because I'm able to keep my hands steady. But the video is really jittery because it thinks it needs to compensate for shakiness when there isn't any.

I can't even tell if it makes my videos better... Are we supposed to see the difference while recording, or just afterwards?

The video quality on the 4S is a serious let-down. I sometimes feel that the 3GS' video quality was better. It wasn't HD but at least it was usable. The blurring effect for stabilization makes most of my videos useless.

No issues here whatsoever, you guys must not know how to record properly.

Also, why would you want to turn it off for? That's just stupid, might as well of gotten the 4 instead of the 4S then. What's next? Can I turn my 4S into a single core? Smdh
