First off I apologize for a stupid question...
Is there a way to create a back up on a new iMac from my iPhone4 alone? It was previously backed up/synced to a pc which has recently died. I have a backup hard drive but I worry it is corrupted by whatever killed the pc :(
What are my options?

ok well if that is not possible, does anyone have any advice on how to get my old itunes backup files from a pc backup hard drive to an imac? Or alternatively, i may have an old backup file from pc. Will my mac recognize this file?
