I am new to Macs, and I have only added one of the widgets to my stock setup (movie list) and I am just trying to find out if any of you have a widget you use daily something that you can not live without..

I am just trying to find some interesting free widgets to try out..

THX guys please share.. maybe a pic as well

pretty much weather and istatpro. i use a post it to list stuff i need to do.

but weather and istatpro are definitely recommended. weather for obviously the weather, and istat because its your entire computer at a glance.

Definitely iStat Pro like what others were saying, but I also find the unit converter very handy:

I don't know about "live without" but a handy one I thought I'd mention is CharacterPal.

I use conversion widget a lot and webclips for the BBC weather and TFL live updates for The Tube status.

It used to be Sing That iTune but I found that it pretty much sucks at finding the right songs and gives up way too easily. So I downloaded DesktopLyrics and manually added lyrics to my songs and it works much better and I dont have to be in the dashboard to see the lyrics.

Plus it automatically disappears when you pause iTunes and it's extremely unobtrusive. No icon in the dock, no icon on the menu bar, nothing. Just the floating text. I love it.

Basically only the Dictionary. My school work makes me use it a lot, and it sure beats the hell out of a paper dictionary (time saver like a mofo.)

Ahhh yes, definitely a very handy tool. I also find that the calculator comes in handy when I need a quick answer with no calculator nearby.

Although the calculator always seems to be the slowest widget to initialize when Dashboard starts up.

Definitely use the weather every night when picking out my clothes at night and in the morning before I head out.
