I read somewhere that the Apple Watch can measure altitude but I do not know what models do it.
I appreciate your information. Thanks

I think Series 3, 4, 5 have a barometric altimeter, and series 6 and later and SE have an "always-on" barometric altimeter.

Both will provide altitude when requested or for an app, but the latter can display it continuously in a complication.

The altitude is determined by a combination of GPS (and possibly other positioning information) and barometric pressure changes. The GPS sets the baseline, and the barometer detects the variation more accurately than GPS can.

Note that it is often not very accurate, especially if GPS reception is poor (like inside a building). Altitude is the least accurate positioning provided by GPS, and its accuracy is very variable. Lower your expectations.
