The reason I ask is because I, like a good few others would like to be able to read the books I own.

Either that or how can I get an older version of the Kindle app (which apparently works on iOS 6) on my device?

The latest version of the Kindle app works on iOS 4.2 and above. Any phone apart from the original iPhone can run iOS 4.2.

The latest version of Kindle doesn't seem to work on the Beta. Crashes whenever opening a book.

You can download and convert the books on your computer and use iBooks

Sweet. I think I'll look into that.

I got it working by doing most of what was on that Cult of Mac tutorial minus the auto adding stuff since it was only for one book.
