So I had a crappy Samsung flippy phone about 4 years ago that let me record a message, and if I was on a call, or doing something at the moment, I could press a button and it would play my message, or tell the person "Please hold, I am on the other line, blah blah" until I could take the call. Is there any modification like this for the iPhone? TIA.

Unrelated: is there something that allows me to end/modify (mute/etc) while I'm in an application? Its so annoying to have to click the green "touch to return to call" bar just to do something like hang up. If there was a bitesms like popup you could bring up with an Activator gesture, or set activator gestures to those different things, that would be nifty. Any ideas? Thanks again in advance :)
