Is there an app that selectively deletes items in the Trash?

I'm looking for an app that will automatically permanently delete items in the Trash that have been there for longer than a set period of time.

Any suggestions?

Don't know why you'd want to, but the OP is clearly after a grace period.

Lots of people simply use the trash as just another place to store stuff if they are not sure what they want to do with it.

Risky in case you just happen to forget and empty the trash completely.
