... sound an alarm on your watch if you are moving away from your phone? That'd be so nifty, so I won't forget my phone at home anymore. :)

Thats actually funny, and a good idea. Or a "Find my Phone" apple watch app that will help you find your phone when you misplace it. (As long as you are close enough to maintain that BT connection)

There is a ping function built into the watch if you misplace your phone and its still on the same BT or wireless network you can send an audible ping to your phone.

You can ping your phone right from your watch. That is a feature built into the watch software. So you won't lose your phone now.

The automatic alarm when you are about to leave the BT area of your phone is actually a good idea ;)

I’m sure there was one. I deleted it because it drained the battery on my phone a bit. Can’t remember what it was called though !

I've seen this question asked before. Yes, it would be a cool app to have on the watch. Especially those of us who don't have cellular enabled ones. The "find your iPhone" ping functionality won't help the OPs predicament at all.

I've left the house without my phone as well. What tends to happen in my case is I get a "phone disconnected from Bluetooth" type announcement as I get a couple houses away. Then I know to turnaround and retrieve my phone. Does your vehicle have similar functionality?
